From what I've been told (Dealer did mine) you don't need to remove the fairings to fit the drilled R&G ones either. Just loosen enough fixings...
US10 on top of a 30 is no problem. I have a US30 and 2 x US10's You can run it as a 'US40' with a 10 on top or a 'US50' with the 10's either...
