Ah, that's what 'm talkin' about! Strange that we're on the same wavelength (sometimes) because I was going to make a similar suggestion in the original post, and then thought against it!.
Lol thanks Nigel. I don't expect it to sell to be honest, wrong time of year. The bad bits are if you look in the first pic at the engine casing you will see some paint corrosion where the paint has flaked off plus there is slight mottling on the frame. I took this up with my local Honda dealership as the bike is dry use only and 4k miles at the time and they raised it with Honda UK who turned round and blamed it on keeping it in a garage all Winter and damp air!!! I just laughed at them. I've been riding 25 years and i've ridden bikes all year round commuting to London and never had a bike flake paint off including a Fireblade 929 which was bullet proof. Clearly older bikes years ago had thicker stronger paint! So it's not mint but nothing bad and the engine casing can be repainted easily enough if it bothered someone.
Yeah, that often happens as people tend to try to gauge the market by what's being offered. Also, your bike garners 'special' interest because of its limited edition Marquez status - it's a bike that people want to see. On the other hand, there might be one or two of those viewers who are serious and could be hanging out for a price drop - I have done exactly that. But hang in there and it WILL sell! Cheers.
I found it appalling to be honest. They even blamed it on having a tumbledryer in the garage despite the fact it vents externally through a sealed vent It was basically any excuse they could think of to blame me and not them.
Agreed. But amongst them might be a realist, or a moronic offer that'll turn good. I have bought 5 bikes off eBay this year and ALWAYS start with an almost insulting offer. It is the nature of the deal. Some sellers put their bike (or whatever) up for sale expecting to be knocked down. I take that into account - and then hit them even further. The serious buyers will always increase their bid/offer whereas the tyre kickers will just waste your time. As I've previously mentioned, the 'Marquez' edition should be highly regarded. Just hang out!
True I sold my Jetski this year and had loads of insulting low offers but 2 of them offers ended up serious and they were up against each other to who arrived 1st got it and I sold for what I wanted
Sort of 'bumping' this thread for you after reading today's post about your lack of sale. Did you actually list it on ebay, or are you just prepared to wait for next season? Sometimes. you need to keep these sales threads fresh or else they just get shuffled to the end.
