    No didn't replace chain.

If it was a valve it would get noisier on revving?

Comparing the first video before the CCT was changed, The noise now has changed.

My thoughts now it that the new CCT has taken most of the slack out of the timing chain but not enough.

Not to lead up the wrong path just based on videos, But could this noise be the actual timing chain stretched?

I agree ... it sounds as though it has improved but not enough ... when I took the old CCT out I couldn't remove the centre bolt so was expecting to adjust out fully and push the other two bolts as I loosened - it didn't so I'm wondering if it was fully extended?

    Is this possible?

If it needs a new timing chain I assume it's a cams out job. If that's the case I'll get KAIS to do it and also check valves whilst they are there.

Before I do anything I'm going to seek another opinion.

So how did you fit it mate. Did you rotate the crank to TDC or just fit it as as?

I was going to fit a manual CCT to my RR9 but am a bit nervous of removing the OE ACCT and then the cam chain jumps.

Pop timing cover off and rotate to TDC.

Install new CCT and then pull locking pin ... as a safety check I then rotated crank a couple times by hand to check all is well.

Cam chain won't jump - there isn't enough space in the cases for the chain to jump.

Well it's been dropped off with KAIS suspension to investigate further as I simply don't have the time to investigate further and after covering the basics it's time to let the pros sort it ...

Thanks to @roboticus for kindly giving me a lift in his van to drop the bike off.

    Fingers crossed it's nothing serious.
