First time I have removed the front calipers to replace the pads (myself) and the front tyre (garage).
Of the 4 pistons, two slide in easily but the opposite one feel solid.
Are they supposed to move as well and is it normal for them to be stiff?

brake pad wear is excellent and matched across all 4 pads and no corrosion or sign of seizure.
    thanks for any info:)

these are good you can just encourage them to move a bit more freely. Or pull them out and get rid of all the old fluid

    thanks.
I decided all 4 pistons should be sliding. With great deal of caution so as not to break anything, managed to exercise them using my long nose pliers. All is good now.
The tool is interesting. Can you use it to just move the piston in & out or mainly for removing them completely?
