Just wondering if anyone has bought/used any Brembo Serie Oro discs? If so, what did you think? How do they compare to others?

Good stuff. Looking to fit some on my track bike too. Found a mega deal from a place in Italy.

I Put a set of these on my track bike, together with Brembo M4 calipers. I give them a very hard time on track and have never had any issues.

Judging from the link please do triple check that they are indeed compatible with the ABS. The right disc should be tapped for the sensor ring. There are 2 batches of the ORO designated for the ABS, earlier ones are not tapped.
Tried to buy some from Bike torque racing (Brembo imported for the UK) a few months back and all their stock for 78B40876(ABS Oro) were not tapped. Should be OK now but I would not want to be dealing with returns to Italy!

For the extra I'd go HPK!

Also stuff from the good ole US of A will also be subject to import Tax's/VAT/UK postal charges etc etc so that could take you way over £300

I bought mine direct from Andy at Demon Tweeks for £360 so U won't be far off that all in I reckon plus you'll have Zero after sales backup to boot.

I got an Italian mate to email the company and asked about fitmeant etc and alls good. I'm now thinking of going for the HPKs instead of the Oro.

Did you get a set of HPKs for £360 from Andy @ Demon tweeks?

    guessing you talking to me?

No still have the OEM on mine, the HPK quote from DT was nowhere near that, for less than 400 sheets the HPK are the ones to go for. HPKs (I've been told so don't quote me) are proper fully floating, so if mainly on the track you would really gain the benefit.

Been wanting a set of HPKs for a while now, my OEMs are slightly warped and when the buttons are seized up you can notice the difference. Been toying with the ideal of cheaper armstrongs and Oros but something in my head is saying to get the best I can afford, - also this will become a tracker so I think it makes sense!
Ping me the link for the HPKs, would be really interested to hear how you get on :)

Got 'em, like 'em - BUT calliper change to something like M4's (£500) will make more of a difference.

To caveat this - if i had an ABS bike, i probably wouldn't bother upgrading. The ABS compromises everything so its not really worth the cash.

I did the mono block upgrade on my 08 with master cylinder...... 2012 suspension too it transformed the bike great upgrades but as said cant see the point if you have ABS
