My CBR1000RR 2004 mirrors are stock. They can't fold and they don't have indicators.
I thought I would hate the fact that they don't fold, but it's hardly ever been a problem for me on this bike.

Preferably I want mirrors that fold AND indicate

I've searched the forum and I read that some of the cheap ebay indicators don't fold.

How is the quality of the CBR1000RR 2008 OEM mirror's folding abilities? Does it fold easily back and forward without requiring re-adjustment?

    I found these "for CBR1000RR 2004"
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/triangle/271708032846
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/arrow/191715191922 <<< I like these best

    For CBR1000RR 2008 copies

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/copy-2009-incandescent-bulbs/271963528045

I had GSXR 2001 mirrors on my VFR400 NC24 like this:
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Suzuki-GSXR-600-750-01-02-03-2001-2002-/190720471865
They could fold in and out with ease all day long, without requiring re-adjustment. They were awesome.

08+ mirrrors fold at the base so when folded in and back out no adjustment is needed for mirror

Will 08+ mirror's bolts line up with the bolt holes on the 04?

Quite possibly! As seen mirror block off plates for sale on eBay that say 04-16 models covered! You just need to find out what hole centres distance they are! And possibly have to make a hole for the cables to go through

They will not fit directly. Tried this before with my 05. Ended up buying some tripage mirrors. Actually think I might still have them. You can have them if I do.

Without wishing to hijack this thread too much...

Can the standard mirror indicator 'guts' be replaced with LED?

    EDIT:
Note: I *could* google this, but prefer the usefulness of this community.

I fitted a set of ZX10RR mirrors to my 06 Blade. ...........possibly the best mod I, ve ever done for not a lot of cash. The later Honda mirrors are a right pain to modify and fit , the ZX10 mirrors are not quite a straight bolt on but if you elongate the screw holes they,ll fit , they don't vibrate over 100 ,in fact mine are rock steady at all speeds ,have really bright indicators in them and the best bit is. .......you can actually see what's behind you and not just your elbows

@FirebladeRR sorry for the late reply, been busy with work. Thanks for the offer buddy. I checked out the mirrors and don't love the look of them.

@Haggler ®™ what year model ZX10 mirrors did you fit? Can they fold in and out without readjustment? Show pics from front and back please? :)

I'm strongly considering the above eBay mirrors that I linked. I just need to measure to confirm I'm happy with the size. Its a cheap experiment.

I want a small row of LEDs, not bulbs or big indicators with big reflectors inside.

Sorry to bump a old thread...

But do you have anymore pics of this mod? And the mirrors from a 13+ zx10?

Also did you run the indicators on yours? Or just use mirrors?

    Thanks
