    Hi Guys,
Apologies if his has been done before but im looking at getting my 10 plate Blade painted in John McGuiness's finest. Saw it in IOM 2011 when it 1st came out and thought it looked f####ing stunning!

Ive got prices from Dream Machine and Spraybay (Immingham) who apparently paint the official TT legends bikes but unsure which way to go. I see some members have had their bikes painted in this livery and looking for any recommendations etc.:)

    Cheers.

There is also the chinese replica fairing pre-painted as an option about £350 for the kit delivered

I don't know about anyone else ... but I have seen quite a few Dream Machine paint jobs and they are stunning
in the dealer showroom . Deep deep laquer you could swim in .
But I have seen a number of their bikes on the road and it seems that they suffer from a lot of stone damage .
I suppose the deeper the laquer the more vunerable it becomes .

But to be fair I have never owned a bike with a DM paint job .... just what I have observed .

    Hope this helps

I would head over to Hunts in manchester before signing on the line - they have had quite a few bikes painted up by Dream Machine - you can see a VFR800 and CB1000r in Tt Legends colours

ALSO - you MUST fit ventura paint film to prevent chips if you do have it done.

Got to agree with the vetura shield. The deeper the paint, the easier it is to chip and crack.

Agree- regardless of who paints, once it's done it always chips easier than the original.

I've seen good and bad work by DM, but then I'm a fussy bstard.

Thanks for replies guys, i haven't actually seen a Legends race rep in the flesh so i'll take a trip to Manchester, also good tip about the Venture Shield.
My bike is a 2010 RR-A in Orange/Silver, Black frame/wheels. love the bike but not so much the paint scheme.

On other forums guys say that Spraybay much better quality that DM but who knows?? Also seen some bikes with red/blue rim tape but some without.

Cheers Dave, looks like a Spraybay job as they paint the subframe which is a nice touch!

I have 3 and you are spot on the paint is very soft and chips very easy so protection is the only way to go.

maybe its the way they paint them.U have had a custom paint job on
nearly every bike I have owned by a very well known local race paint shop
and I have never suffered with excessive stone chips and most of the roads
over here are in horrible condition.
