    Has anyone done it or had it carried out for them?

    I'm looking at getting a new helmet for the 2015 Hottrax racing season and want something a little 'personal' so the idea of getting it hydro dipped seems like a good idea. I've had a quote for £70 from a place in Bristol.

    Ive seen the below helmet and like the idea of an MTP (Multi Terrain Pattern) design with a union flag;

    Is it safe on a helmet?
    I'm not saying it's not, I have no idea it's just your not Supposed to use certain paint or stickers etc as it can effect the strength of the helmet and they use chemicals etc?

    I'm hoping to get another carbon fibre lid which should be safe.

    Tape over the ACU sticker and other parts so that the tape can easily be easily removed. I've watched a few vids on youtube.

    The ACU inspectors at race meetings will put them on for £5 if it's on their list of certified helmets.

    Cool - only snag is they'd guy be reluctance to stick on once you've covered it in cammo and they can't tell what lid it is ;)

    But I'm sure it'll be fine tbh.

    Still wanna get one done - just dont know what pattern I'd get :(

    I'm seriously considering getting another Nexx XR1r carbon (seeing as it did such a good job of protecting my head the first time) or the updated xr2r carbon. Seen them for £270.
