Looking to purchase a lifting stand such as warrior spider stand, abba stand etc. what do you all use? I’d love a skylift but for what I’d use it for I can’t justify £500 for one. any pros/cons? Will be using for maintenance on the drive and in the garage (garage has foam mat flooring) thank you
Not got one but I have looked at these stands and abba looks tha safest to me ... I have hanging points in my garage so I can suspend the bike with truck ratchet straps
Sounds like ABBA is the best contender. I won’t be using the stand to move the bike around so not fussed about that
I had an Abba stand with front wheel lift. As good as it was, I replaced it with a warrior spider stand. I much prefer the warrior stand.

I can't comment on Abba stands and the like but I'm sure they have their uses. I've always used front and rear paddock stands for my bikes, for nearly 20 years I've never really felt the need for any other type of stand. Maybe one day a job will crop up where and Abba type stand will come in handy.......can't think what, so I'll stick to what I know for now.
I have an Abba sky lift and the Constands, which is very similar to the 1jac but seems better value for money and it folds. The warrior are ok but no where near the quality of the Constands, 1jac or Bursig, but they are much cheaper. The Skylift is the ultimate for doing biggish jobs, but it's a bit of a faf if you just want to lube the chain or spin the wheels to clean them. I managed to drop my new MT10 off a rear paddock stand so bought a Constands lift
I have an abba stand and also paddock stands. Mostly I use the paddock stands if the work I am doing won't take too long like oil changes, electral cable runs etc, but if we are talking days due to my ineptitude or waitng for parts then I tend to use my Abba stand.
My mate made me a stainless version of the Abba stand and makes me the adaptors when I change bikes. However I have posted this on here before, a set of cheap paddock stands will do 90% of the work you’ll ever do but to save those daft incidents, get yourself a length of stainless rod or bar and put it through the rear spindle and through the paddock stand that way it can’t fall off. I also have a Constands centre lift and it is amazing for the money. Even better when I found the eBay fuck up a few years back and got the full lift and bike specific adaptor for the price of the adaptor (£85) at the time! I did post it here but they changed the price back to about £255 shortly after.
A dual paddock stand set up with stainless rod front and rear will cost you less than £100. If you decide to go for the Constands, warrior etc do yourself a favour and drill the mounting pin and get a large r-clip to stop it being pulled off the stand. My BIL dropped his repsol cbr6! here’s the paddock stand with rod.
Yeah for small jobs n washing, paddock stands and front head lifts are good enough Abba stands are brill for servicing rear suspension and standing the bike over winter
Another positive of the Constands over the others aside from the price, it has a ratchet on the side so you can raise or lower to a specific height then let it lock off so you can maintain ground contact without even loading up the tyres and suspension. Less risk of a drop that way.
