Think I have done a deal on my black edition 2016 nothing wrong with the bike but after test riding the new blade a few months ago it's got to be done.

Honda crescent in Southampton have done me a top px price and a good deal on the new one with yoshi exhaust seat cowl tail tidy for free and a really good price on the qs x blipper fitted wooooo hooooo

This is probably going to be the way I go next spring, I've already had dicussions about a deal. I'm going to wait to see if Honda does anything start of Q2 with contributions and interest rates, as they did this year. I'm already looking at around £1500 discount, but I'll probably be adding a quickshifter for £700. If Honda add any sort of contribution (£500 is usual) then I'll be looking at about £2k off list price.

I have had 5 or so bikes off the guys I'm dealing with, so I usually get a good deal.

Will become standard equipment next year if Honda have any sense.

Nice one pal. Enjoy it. I've got my eye on a matt black one as well - but heard strange rumblings about the matt black scheme being tricky to maintain so would love to know if its true from someone who's owned one (probably just internet BS)

Matt black as a finish can't be polished unlike a lacquered finish. Care needs to be taken when cleaning not to inadvertently "polishing" an area caused by abrasion. Lovely looking bike, congrats!!

I think a lot is internet bullshit I no a few who have owned triumphs with the Matt paint. Think the rule is is not to polish it basically and when cleaning have two buckets one with shampoo the other to clean sponge in as Matt paint scratches very easy.

Got to call insurance company today to change over sure that will be nice NOT

I went in and test rode the new blade today at crescent Southampton. I saw your bike in the workshop Gary! Rob showed me today. He told me what he uses to polish and clean it. It's so simple so don't worry I'm sure he will explain as he has the same blade as you

Woop woop should be having the qs x blipper fitted. What did you think of the demo ride?
Sorting out swapping insurance over robbing bastards so had to cancel and take a new policy out with a different company w-nkers.

I think it was already fitted when I saw it, the yoshimura can on it too. I loved the test ride! I didn't have much expectations to be honest but I loved it. I've got a 2014 blade so don't think I'll be chopping it in but was nice to compare

If your like me I couldn't get it out of my head there's nothing wrong with my 16 blade but the new one is very good, if the px hadn't been so good it wouldn't be happening tho.

Yeah I know what you mean, he said he'd throw in the quick shifter, tail tidy and seat cowl for free haha

One thing I have found Gary, is that the new blade doesn't like 98 octane petrol
might just be mine but it runs better on standard 95
Although i'm seriously looking at the Rapid bike Evo fueling module

That's bizzare. Surely in this day and age the ignition would automatically advance / retard to suit RON?

Yes it probably does, but euro 4 bikes run so bloody lean to meet the emission laws, I assume the ECU can't remap enough.
