Enjoy.....I’ve just bought one, early days but so far hands down the best superbike I have ever ridden. Absolutely awesome.
How have you got on with the insurance?

I reckon you’ve done ok there fella. I eventually managed to get cover for £900 i had initial quotes between 3500 - 9500, 6 years ncb and 35 years in the saddle.
Hopefully next year it will drop considerably, currently the insurers really don’t seem to like the V4S or the current crop of £20k+ Sportbikes.

Yep, good deal, or perhaps the best we could expect for the first year. My first premium was 580.00 for my 2018 Blade SP2. Will be most interested to learn what the renewal will be in March.

I do point out to others that renewals are often loaded. After getting your renewal price, jump onto MCN Compare (or similar) and re-quote from scratch - including the accrued no claim bonus of course. Invariably it will be cheaper than the renewal - or so has been my recent experiences.

    It does get better

When I was looking at buying my H2, only company I could get Insurance with was Kawasaki,s own which was £680 at first, I did get one other price, but at £7601 I gave it a miss;)
This year, after two years of ownership insurance is £390 and that includes my ZX636 as well

Depends what you mean by low down, it’s typical Ducati in slow traffic (not as bad as the 1299) it’s the only aspect of the bike I don’t like thereafter it’s smooth as, it’s not turbine smooth like the blade the mirrors are pointless due to the vibration but I can forgive it that because it is so easy and comfortable to ride and the acceleration is nothing short of ferocious, even with the quick shifter i can barely feed the gears quick enough.
I was starting to think I was done with sports bikes I have fell in love again with this one, just hope I keep my license.

Yes it’s crazy the blade was only £200 to insure.

It’s so special I haven’t even given the price I paid a second thought.

So what is it with Italian bikes and their mirrors? Both my MV and aprilia have useless mirrors; not for vibration, but for their placement. I have to do the 'chicken wing' flap to see anything behind me!
