Listening to BBC Scotland this morning, seems the Scottish are fat. So...it's not just the Americans!
Doesn't matter where it is in the world...they've all them scoot things that eventually are consumed by their arses lol
That's an interesting point, Loz. I've seen many in my local towns on 'mobility' scooters simply because they have compromised their own mobility by over-eating. There is no acceptance of their contributing to their own problem, and no accepting that the community is stumping up for these lard arses to do even less. They might have a problem walking up to the benefits' assessment desk at the regional DWP office, but set them down before a hamburger or ice cream van and they'll beat every record set by the Brownlee brothers.
Fat is one of the last remaining "disabilities" that is not protected. I believe fatties should be called on their slovenly ways and made accountable for the cost left in their considerable wake.
What gets me is some of the preposterous excuses you hear from people who have weight problems. To be honest I don't have a massive problem with people being overweight. If that's what someone chooses to be that was then that's up to them. I know there's the argument about putting a strain on the NHS but it's all to do with risk. Same as people who smoke. Same as people who drink regularly. Hell I'm sure you could even make a case for bikers burdoning the NHS with their injuries when a nice safe car is an alternative but.....at least take ownership of your decisions. Weight maintenance / loss is about a very simple equation. Calories in vs calories out. If you're putting on weight it's because you're consuming more calories than you expend. If you want to lose weight either increase the amount of calories you burn or reduce the amount of calories you intake. Still.....some people won't have it. "Well my Dad was a big bloke so it runs in the family"..........."I've always been big-boned"..........."I barely eat anything!".
It's all gone very quiet since Michael popped his head above the parapet on this lol https://metro.co.uk/2019/08/06/weak...le-dying-earlier-can-save-nhs-money-10525188/
I sympathise with fatties because I really like eating and dieting sucks but I want to ride a 'blade nor a Harley. (currently 75Kgs.)
Looking for a response from @Spygoat - you do know that he’s a man of regular proportion with exceptional, specialist skills (remember nobody’s heard from @ninjagogo since you know what happened)
Billy Connolly’s handy tip of the day. "My advice to you, if you want to lose a bit of weight: don't eat anything that comes in a bucket. Buckets are the kitchen utensils of the farmyard."
I am a svelte 170 pounds. Not all people with Harley Davidson motorcycles are fat. Ninja may never come back...
I am not taking sides, But if you have paid taxes all your life you should be at the front of the Que at the hospital Etc, after 30 years working I was made redundant this was 10 years ago and went to see what benefits I could claim.answer 6 months contribution based benefit, Then nothing. I did not qualify for any free drugs eye tests or anything, Then you get someone never worked and get everything paid for
Sadly you like I suspect most of us don't know how to work the system, instead we are just the mules who pay for those who do. System is broken but politicians are too afraid to try and fix it.
If you are at the top there are loopholes to stop paying tax, If you are at the bottom you pay little tax . those in the middle pay all the tax
