I'm sure this requires groaning but can anyone recommend one?

I only want to oil the chain and do bits of service work, the bike has bobbins on it already

oh, and i hvae no idea what to spend, they seem to start at £30!

Pitbull makes great stands. I use Moto-D stands at the track and Pitbull stands at the house.

Blink I've a spare one in the garage that I'd forgotten about until I read this. It's surplus to requirements now, if you're interested I'll take a photo...
You're only down the road from me and can have it for a tenner which will buy me 4 spam fritters :D

My Moto-D stands look the same but painted black. Excellent deal there.

You also get to meet the infamous @Lozzy. Surely that alone is worth the tenner.

Yeah, totally agree. Magic equipment, but there's no UK distributor and costs $US75.00 shipping to UK plus customs.

They make a particularly good one for the singlesided swing arm on the MVs, and it is unique in that it lifts the bike forward rather than rearward.

I found out all the above when I tried to order. Fortunately, I am assisted by an MV forum member who will be in Atalanta, Georgia at the end of this month. I have already ordered the stand to be delivered to him. As he works for an airlines, I save on shipping and customs. Conversion rate works out to £160.00. Well pleased!!

You'll use it a lot more than you ever thought you would. An almost essential piece of equipment, especially for polishing UNDERNEATH the belly pan!:D
