Before I get my bike mapped I want to get hold of the map switch and handle bar mount that they do. I thought that way if i'm on a long trek i'll be able to have a map for best economy, and at the flick of a switch have the full power map. Now it might be me being a bit dumb but i'm struggling to find hardly any uk retailers that are stocking them. So if you know of a site with them on could you point me in that direction please.

Hi there. I got mine from CMC bikes. Think it was around the £20 mark. You still need to cut off the end plug and then put the wires into the rear of the powercommander.
Oh right I thought it was plug and play, doesn't it seem stupid that you have to cut the plug off something that was made to work with another one of their own products!!

Yup it does seem stupid, but it was made for the PC3 with the expansion module, which costs another £200 for the PC3. With the PCV it's just a case of trimming the wires and it does the rest without the need for any extra hardware.
How much better is your fuel economy from one map to the other, thats if thats the way you've got it setup?
Haven't had the chance to get mine set up yet. I'm going a different route though. I'm going to get mine tuned for baffle in, baffle out.
I know with the map i'm using at the minute from the power commader site my bike is drink fuel like theres no tomorrow. I think it was around 30 miles less on a tank than before I fitted it
To be honest you'll get more mpg once it has been properly set up on the dyno anyway. I noticed a difference when I had my last bike setup. I went straight from standard to dyno'd and easily got another 10 miles to the tank even with the extra power
What Colin said. Looking at the map I had done, I noticed a lot of fuel was taken out in various stages of the rev range, not added.... I haven't noticed any extra fuel used, still does 120miles before the light comes on, 150 taking it easy with A roads.
I have a couple of DJ map switches they are very cheaply made but seem to keep working, IMO you can fit much better for half the money after all any switch will do! It's down to the dyno opp to make a good fuel econ map for you to use or it's a waist of time, tbh I have done just this before and run the bike very lean IMO it does not save any fuel your best fuel econ mode is on the end of your right arm..
When you say you have a couple, do you mean for sale? What would be your suggestion as an alternative mate?
Sorry mate my lazy posts...lol no I have a couple on my bikes one on PC3 for dual map and one on a pcv to turn autotune on and off, there are some good waterproof switches on the dreaded eBay that I use a couple of times before or any simple switch like I installed on zeeponys bike to test maps etc.
