Well here I go, after mucho deliberation and grief from the wife about how much I spent on my beautiful 2012 blade. I am now forced into selling my beloved plate. It’s been mine for the last 25 years and it’s now time to go. So any of you guys or gals (with deep pockets) would like to have a fantastic private CBR plate on your bike, now’s the time. J3 CBR is now for sale, yours for a measly £750.00 . Sound like a lot? feel free to look on fleabay, similar plates going for much more! This one is priced to sell. I'm not a candidate, but I know that is a good and fair price. I recently secured an 'HRC' plate, but with 3 prefixes. I found that 2 prefix plates - especially with popular suffixes, i.e., CBR, MGB, etc start from 900 quid PLUS VAT. I know 'Great Guy' will be steaming from the ears, but this is an essential piece of kit for the bling lovers!!
I think most would prefer to spend their coin on rearsets or exhaust. Best solution? Buy another bike to put it on. Job done!
I’ve got one!!!!! Only took it of a cbr to put on another cbr. Need the cash more money unfortunately. C’mon Nigel keep this going so it stays top of the list
No offence Gary; but it's only too dear to those who don't want it. I think most of us would pay over the odds for something we really want - I guess it's just a matter of perspectives. I do back what I say because of these:
if you dont mind 3 digits before the cbr theres dozens of them on dvla registrations starting at £250
That's what makes them dearer though, the fewer digits, the dearer the price. For instance, using the site from where I bought mine, J6 CBR is 967 plus VAT. It's like any commodity though, something is really only worth what another is prepared to pay for it, and that reverts back to if we really want something we'll pay through the nose! So, in comparison, Fwsock's plate is good value.

Single numbers always worth more. As for the sun...........well it’s the sun!!! I’d always told my insurers anyway with no extra costs.
Interesting j6 cbr now on at 967 +vat it was on a dealers site for £1450+vat about 6 month ago. Used to know the guy who had it new.
