Looking to add a QAT to my 2006 Blade which is used on road and track. Interested to know what make people are using and what degree of throttle rotation you ended up with over standard.
I'm particularly interested to hear from those that use them on their road bikes and how manageable it is in the road environment as well.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

I've got one of the Hrc throttle tubes. I find it really good for road use. Straight away could pull away smoothly, and found the turn reduced to a nice amount.
Haven't had change to get in track yet with it .
In the future I'll probably buy a full qat from active/ Accossato or simular when I have £120 spare, But really with the Hrc tube for such a cheap mod :)

I have an Accossato one fitted with the largest ring available and find it perfect for my use (only on the roads), I did have the HRC one fitted but the difference wasn't big compared to standard ... if/when you fit one just gan canny for a little while to get used to the difference, didn't find it took too long to adjust to it though ... def made it more fun tho :D

I take it the HRC throttle tube will work with standard cables? Had heard people mention in the past that the standard cables were too short to work with?

Yeah they will, but I had to loosen the adjusters throttle body side for a little extra slack to fit em.

Accossato teflon quick action throttle CNC with cables

The stock throttle is a 1/4th turn which is 90 degrees of rotation from full close to full open. The HRC 1/6th kit is 60 degrees of rotation.

The Accossato Diameters are 37 / 40 / 43 mm etc. different ratio wheels. Standard is between 35 and 37mm, depends on the bike.

For example ( here with SCM Quick Action Throttle ):

Cam Designation/// Reel diameter (mm)/// Full throttle angle (degrees)/// Cable draw (mm)/// increase in throttle response vs OEM

    OEM/// 35/// 69/// 21.07/// 0%
    57/45/// 39/// 62/// 21.07/// 11%
    57/49/// 43/// 56/// 21.07/// 23%
    57/53/// 47/// 51/// 21.07/// 34%
    57/55/// 49/// 49/// 21.07/// 40%

Also, you can not compare the HRC with the Accossato. The Accossato build quality and the flexibility ( Reel diameter etc. ) are much better than the plastic HRC. product.

The Teflon coating of the slide tube allows precise dosing at the lowest possible friction - even the tiniest throttle movements are implemented. The smooth throttle cables can be combined to achieve the desired ratio with an included three eccentric. Complete kit with all mounting parts for use in place of the series gas handle.
