Have you got the reg number? As far as I know you are correct, 94 to 96. Never seen any later than that, sounds like rubbish to me but happy to be corrected.

As you know reg date and manufacturer date is something completely different. Pretty sure it will have been made between 94 and 96. The first bikes RVF400RR had the yellow RVF decal, the later the RVF400RT had the white, like mine.

I can check the year of manufacturer tomorrow.

Seen that one and it wouldn't be my first choice. Fastline are generally pretty good do you think there is any chance they could have crossed wires re the manufacture date, they do know there stuff so I'm surprised they would try and sell this as a 2000, registered yes made no.

Late to the party here, but agree on the build and reg issue.
My NC30 was one of the last built in 1992, then was crated and stored before BATs bought it in, in 98 and the 1st owner registered it 1 Sep 99.
Personally never heard of a late production run for the NC35 always thought it stopped in 96.
Nige, if you haven’t already, look up VSource, a wealth of great info, and it does state Jap dealers were selling them upto 2000 or after.

Bit late to the party but here goes anyway to correct a few things
The RVF400 was an import, there were no UK spec bikes made ever. All were imported, all show in KPH.
The RVF was manufactured in 1994 and 1995 only in Japan. Some were still sold in 1996
There were 2 colour schemes the 1994 RR was the one with the white RVF decals. The 1995 RT scheme had the yellow RVF decals and slight variation on the colour scheme.

Now back in the day there were a few importers whom brought container loads of "new" bikes into the UK and these were often sold as new bikes (for £5299 i seem to recall) and did end up with a late plate.
I have had more 400's especially NC30's and NC35;s through my hands than i care to remember. And i have seen some late reg RVFs same for late reg NC30's too. As we all know it can be pot luck with DVLA

Now if anyone wants any New old Stock panels for a RVF400 - you will need to dig deep but i have a few sets of genuine seat units, lowers and mid panels left and 1 "as new" RT nose cone.
