Anyone else from here going to Silverstone on 17th May? This has been on my to-do list for a while and will be my first trackday on the blade. Think it will suit the track. I have done smaller tracks previously Pembrey, Mallory & my favourite Cadwell so this will make a change for me. Any tips?
Full Gp circuit ??? you ll love it mate.......just enjoy....only down side that that theres likely to be loads of bikes....especially if its with Focused !
Yep full gp circuit. It is with FE the other's don't have many or no dates there. As it's a wide track hopefully I can pass any traffic easily. Fingers crossed. The other advantage for me is I can ride there in about an hour, maybe less on a quite morning ;-)
Will need to check my diary next week but i am interested if i have a bike then and am not working that day. How much?
Ps, Children be aware, doing track days on your pride and joy......might end in tears ! ......and the worst part ? No not the coming off............ the "WALK OF SHAME THROUGH THE PITS AT SILVERSTONE" all that sniggering will haunt me forever ! lol
Been there mate................but shit happens and i didnt get seriously injured...........we all try to be like the top racers and even they fall off. If you dont fall off......your not trying hard enough
And a spare Dani Pedrosa to throw overboard at the proper moment methinks. His built in fragility under impact would fare me well as a crumple zone perhaps.
Ah nice at least you are ok, seen some nasty ones at track mate had to go to hospital and messed up his eyesight for month's after a high side at 120... I don't push to hard just enjoy myself without worrying about police or cars pulling out of junctions etc.
Actually i was nt going that fast......and as someone had come off in the same spot two laps earlier....im sure it was something on the track..oil ? but the focus guys were picking up bits of plastic and a clutch lever (intact) and not either mine or the other guys ??
