Is it me or has the amount of spam posts gone up since we have upgraded the forum? In the last week alone I'm sure I've seen about 5 spam posts!
Probably just one of those things. I run a few domains and for the past 6 months I have been getting loads of Out Of Office and undeliverable emails because the spammers are spoofing one of my domains. It's been quite for the past few weeks though so I'm guessing they have moved on.
yup I've noticed a lot more spam posts lately. Not sure how they are getting past the bot checks during registration....??
I was just going to start a tread thanking all those that have reported spammy posts this past few weeks, I've just rid another 3 just now making my kill count 9 for the weekend, I'm all for the thrill of the chase and the kill but I agree, it's taking the piss of late. I'll be the first to admit, it's not as easy to spot the posts with the forum format as it is, new members who i almost always check out before the first post seem to dissolve before being spotted, some however are more obvious than others, for those that's not I'll do what I'd intended to do when I just logged in. Thanks members for all your reports, I do usually like the personal touch of a PM but of late there's been that many I just can't keep up. Perhaps a good time for @Rob & @Remal to see I'd there's something missing which is adding to this.

Its not since the new format but defo the last 2 weeks, as Gary said it's quite possibly a filter that's gone wrong somewhere but it's one for Rob to look at
Agreed and was going to post a similar thread also. I will get onto Rob about this and see if he can check all the security stuff
I've contacted Rob, he' sure nothing has happened but will look and see if the forum requires a new plugin to sort out any issues
