I need to replace my stator cover and swop the internals Is it an easy job or do I need to take it to my local dealer.
It's a doddle, D.I.Y you may need a gasket or gasket maker. My 05 plate just had liquid gasket stuff, but the stator replacement had a gasket with it so I just used that. It took me longer to remove the fairings and clean the gasket stuff off than anything else.
As above mate remove lower fairing and remove bolt from side fairing and you can get to all the stator cover bolts tap with a rubber mallet to break the seal then pull off cover you may have a small drop of oil come out so make sure you have something under it to catch it rest is easy.
