Is your pair valve unit still connected or has it been bypassed?

My bike used to spit huge flames until I bypasses the pair unit from dumping air into the exhaust which is what's allowing any unburnt fuel igniting and spitting the flames. That's the pair units job, introduce extra air for the cat to work correctly and burn off any extra fuel mixture before the gases get to the cat converter.

Bad fuelling specifically over fuelling can also cause it if the pair system has been bypassed/deactivated.

The PAIR mod has been done mate. Might check the PCV is working ok tomorrow and if so then it's just down to the cold weather making the mix richer I guess. I've got a remap also

I wouldn't worry too much about it mate, even the most highly tuned bikes that run in WSB/BSB blow flames out the exhaust from time to time on deceleration/overrun but these flames would never become apparent to standard bikes due to the standard exhaust and cat holding the gases back slightly and by the time the gases get through the more restricted OEM exhaust the gases have burnt off extinguishing the flame.

The stock ECU will also be changing the internal fuel map slightly to compensate for the colder denser air (possibly higher humidity also) which may be knocking your power commander map off slightly!

Have you ridden the bike out on the road? Does it surge and lurch while riding? If not I wouldn't worry about it unless it still does it when the weather temps come back up.

You could like you mention check the PC is ok and has not lost the map or something else that could be affecting the fuelling.

Only problem with that is you might start melting the carbon infil. I remember a thread on here a few months back about the same thing..
