    Hi All,

Been reading lots on here over the past few weeks which has helped me to find the right bike and get started with a few mods whilst the roads are rubbish:(

Here is the new addition, which joins my Superduke 990. Blade was completely standard when I picked her up, but now has Leo Vince slip on, Gilles rearsets, braided lines, galfer wavy rear disc. Next job is to get rid of the rear pegs which I hear is a PITA.

Such different bikes to ride....both are an absolute blast to ride but in very very different ways. Im meant to be selling the SD now, but I think Im going to struggle to part with it to be honest but difficult to justify keeping both. We will see!

Thanks for all the info so far!

    Matt.

Hi and welcome to the forum - my Black Edition is still fairly standard. I’ve got a Scottoiler fitted, blacked out the back of the numberplate and done the headlight mod to run both lit. Only other thing was upgrading to a lithium battery when it started struggling to start. Enjoy

Hello and Welcome. Nice Bike :)

Here is the link to the conversion for the headlight. I got it from the guys on here and they are all very helpful. The guy in Germany who supplies the kit is fantastic, quick response to mails, fast delivery and very polite. Makes the bike much prettier too

Hi and welcome! Lovely couple of bikes you have there! The blade could definitely do with a black aluminium chain guard ;):)

I’m thinking about changing the rear disc to match the fronts - IMHO Honda should have done it along with the fronts

Agreed. Picked mine up from Calsport for about £70. I think Honda pinched a few pennies by not fitting as standard. Combination of new disc/ pads/ fluid made a big difference to the feel of the rear brake. Braided line and rearsets made it even better. Mine felt very wooden with not much feel before the upgrades. Easy to fit!

I did it slowly. About 90 mins though others have got it down to about 40.
