    Afternoon all.

I have just purchased a 2004 CBR1000RR, it's completely standard apart from a power commander, it's been dyno'd with the standard exhaust, will it need to be re-done if i swap it for a aftermarket end can?

Hi and welcome to the forum - can’t help on the exhaust question but plenty here with lots of knowledge who should be able to answer.

    Thank you
I've spoken to a friend and he said it should be fine.

    Welcome mate,

I wouldn’t say it has to be mapped with a new can but would Suggest unplugging the power commander if you put a can on as the map in it was as you say, set up for the standard can.

Welcome. To get the best out of a good new exhaust a remap would help, but it'll probably run fine without it. You may be able to find a map online for the new exhaust when you get one.

Hello and welcome, as with any modification that can change the air fuel ratio a remap would be beneficial. It will run with an aftermarket can, but you may notice the odd flat spot and it might not run as smooth through the rpm range as it could. You may be able to find a map on the Dyno jet website with a similar end can and get it close.
