    I have returned to motor bikes after a long lay off. I had a Norton 350 in the late 60s, I club raced 250s in the 1980s and 90s and then had two CBR900RRs over 1995 to 2003. I am now retired, a widower and the kids have long since flown the nest so I have bought myself a nice 2015 CBR1000RA as a hobby bike rather than for day-to-day transport.

    It was pretty reasonable but I added a GPS and wiring and swapped out the rather loud after-market pipe it came with for the OEM part as soon as I got it. This taught me some interesting things about DTCs and also I fitted a Scottoiler, cameras, a quick shifter, chain adjusters and more. See Nigel and Motorbikes if you want a laugh.

    I admit I'm rather pleased with it.
