I have found the bike for me.

    Being honest I have been looking at other bikes.Wanted something a little more upright and as good as my blade.I tried Ducati, KTM Aprilia and all the japs but found nothing that fits the bill they were all ok ish and had different things I didn't like about them.So I decided to look at bar riser options instead.Bought a pair of helibars for £85 to try ;)put them on and went out for a ride.Boy what a difference!! It is now the bike I wanted.A lot lighter on my back and wrists, I can hang off it better having a short body the reach is easier to get down past the mirror.And it is better through traffic.Honda should have made the cb1000r like this cos it would have raised the bench mark on the naked models.Feels like a tuono but alot more poke and handles just as great.So folks Helibars saved me from defecting and has made my blade easier to ride.Fitting needed nothing extra just a bit of rerouting the wiring and throttle turned under.Should have done this earlier.

    Nice one if i ever see a blade stunting some fat wheelies down the road ill know its you then with the risers lol

    Helibars part number is HB12034
    They are 1 3/4" taller,1" towards the rider and 2" wider.I bought these second hand off ebay stole em at £85 they normally go for between £120-£175.I kept umming and arring and these came up.Best money I've spent on it.Would have bought them new if I knew what difference it does.Unlike the other bar risers you don't need elongated brake lines etc.

    Nope!! nothing needs replacing nor cutting.The wiring on to the clip-ons have to be rerouted to the back of the forks, the throttle under so the two tubes are at the bottom.The front brake hose clamp on the bottom fork needs to be taken off.Rerouting is done whilst the top yoke is off.Looks daunting to start with but really is easy.The hardest part is getting the bar weights back in the Helibars.Use more lube did the trick.

    Is that part number for the Big piston forks 2012 onwards?

    The outside diameters the same, so would imagine it's the same kit mate.

    2004 to 2013 I believe.Your big piston forks I'm not 100% sure whether the diameter is the same as the earlier bike.I think it is but clarify this with Helibars to be 100%.

    Outside diameters the same mate, fitted BPF's to my ten with the original yokes.

    Seen bar risers on sportsbikes before and they've looked weird, but they look ace mate!!

    Got Giles Risers on mine also but in this case they are fully adjustable for bar angle along with a 40mm rise.

    Are the BPF 50mm or larger? Just wondered if they could be fitted to a rr4..
