Hi just fitted an is4 quick shifter on a 2011 blade, don't think I'm getting an interrupt at high speed, anybody had this problem or know what the light should be doing on the is4 ecu when you change gear

Think it's sorted mate the shifter sensor is a pull not a push my own fault should have checked in the process of flipping the gear's down instead of up cheers for the info though

Actually just checked the manual, the led illuminates solid green when triggered. Doesn’t work under 3000rpm

Sorry to restart this thread, should the led light on the Quickshifter unit light up when the ignition is turned on? Fitting mine as we speak but having to wait for some screws as the previous owner must of rounded them off. Honest it wasn’t me so I’m not going to put my fuel tank back on until I’ve got them in place. Otherwise I’ll have to take it all a part again.
Also, where did you mount the unit to??

Mine's under the 'passenger' seat hump. I like to keep electronics away from heat.

What's the cheapest way to get one of these things (not robbing one, obvs) or is the price more or less the same everywhere?

    Thanks

Did you have to take the rear end to pieces to get it under the passenger seat hump? Can’t see any way of getting the unit through without. Or did you wire all the connectors through before ‍♂️ Mine are all connected just waiting for some screws from Honda to turn up before I put it all completely back together. Little rounded off the old ones.

Ahhhh good. Was thinking I’d put the connectors in the wrong ones at first.

I made a bracket and bolted it on here. No space left under the passenger seat. 9BBD174D-FFEB-4280-9746-6EC928D64250.jpeg

I have quite a large gap on the right hand side but I am an RA not an RR so my battery is mounted differently. but that is where my rear light et al wiring goes.

Which side did everyone route the cables? As your sat on the bike, I routed it down the left side of the frame. Looks to only just reach under the rear seat if I was to dismantle the rear end.

I routed the wires down the RHS and mounted the unit next to the RR. Probably not the best place for it, I stupidly overestimated how much space there was underneath the riders seat, by the time I realised my mistake I’d already but the air box, injectors etc all back together so it was too late. I might relocate it under the pillion seat if I take the rear plastics apart. Works fine where it is though.

On my 2015, there was a small square hole leading into the rear compartment under the pillion seat/cowl.
If you're careful you'll be able to wiggle the connecting wires through from the back into the area under the seat i.e. working from the back toward the front.

That's how I did it. GL.

That's how I routed mine too.
Optimate battery charging lead followed suit.
PCV went down that route as well.

All nicely under the pillion seat, so now there's just enough room to store my crack pipe.

    Mine is a 2010 model.

Have both the QS & PCV under the pillion seat.
