Are SC59 exhausts interchangeable?

Hi all.
Wondering if I can fit a 2013 exhaust on my 2009 bike. Just the silencer or the whole system? The pipe on mine is starting to look a little used as she's getting up towards 50k.

2008-12 have a 51mm diameter pipe, 2013 onwards is 60mm.

You can buy a pipe reducer adaptor though, which makes 51mm a 60mm or vice versa.

I don’t know the answer but you may be able to tell by looking up an after market silencer to see if they list the same one for your bike and the later one. BTW, on ebay recently there was a brand new looking std silencer listed for £100, don’t know if it’s still there - good luck!

 

Mr Chin, you are nearly right, it is the 14 onwards that have the larger diameter!
