So that last picture consumed 2 hours worth of mirror install, making spacers as the switch gear is quite big, even turning down the Ti bolt flange so it recesses into the mirror pivot…. Oh just a quick note about changing grips! Non throttle side takes seconds, its locked on by a clamp and ready for the heated part if you have that option. The throttle side is literally cemented to the tube!!! Hour and a half to remove one grip with damaging the tube to much….. painful! But stuff like the Evotech radguard took 10 mins….. stick around and get caught up in the next episode….. :D

Looks ace that @Dave dunlop. Hopefully you managed to get some time in for a run? Living in the sunny West Mids I'm not overly feeling much sympathy to you living near the coast. ;)

Saying that, peak heat around 3ish yesterday afternoon I had one of the most enjoyable rides I'd had in a long time and only the usual local loop. It was mad dogs and Englishmen territory. The roads were more or less empty and the tarmac was toasty.

The Peaks for lunch - The Sycamore Inn, Parwich. Great food.

Rizoma spy R mirror, pretty sure it’s the smaller 60mm version. Have been using them for years. Once set up they work a treat:D

Unfortunately not since my 30 mins ride last Saturday! I’ve been stacked out with other work commitments. But have managed to squeeze in some more bike upgrades before the riding commences. In all Honesty it’s been way too hot for daytime riding down on the south coast with everyone driving around sun drunk! Tonight will be my first proper ride. Just got a few little things to button up so shouldn’t take long. Just need to fit my tank protection, Dash and headlights and then will be ready to rock. And then phase two over the next couple of weeks. That’s the plan:D Glad the wiring and front end is now completed with all Ti fixings throughout. Including top and bottom yokes, Bar clamp bolts, steering damper fixings, Dumped the OE KTM front lever guard for a better fully adjustable LighTech version, still modified slightly. Quick release fuel filler cap, Carbon crankcase protection, Looks so much nicer and the profile is far better than the OE guard that just stuck out at a strange angle. Plus the LighTech is half the weight:D half the size Rizoma bar end the other side…. The OE box is mounting pretty fast with some unwanted items… :D

So 1600 miles done now and it just gets better the more I ride it. I think it's honestly the most fun I've had on 2 wheels. I'll be gutted to put it away when winter comes, but I suppose it'll help keep the mileage down.

I'm glad the RR wasn't on my radar when I went in to test ride the 890. With bikes and cars I'd be completely skint. ;)

Looking forward to seeing what they do for the Gen 4.

I think in my fiddling I may have just hit the sweet spot with the suspension setup, that and the way the fuel injection/throttle just lets you squeeze the power back in through the bends is addictive. Giving the S22's some credit too they've handled really well and I actually think they'll see the summer out. Next spring will be some new rubber though, I'm hearing good things about the Metz M9's as an all round road tyre.

Hope you managed to get out @Dave dunlop.

Unfortunately again I got snowballed with some other work! Managed to get some protection on but still loads to do. Even got the factory fork stickers on:D….. I’m doing headlights after lunch then that it for today as I just want to get out on the thing. Luckily it’s cooled off somewhat:)….. Glad your loving it, I’m sure once I get some proper Seat time it’s going to be epic…. Just a few more pics before before the main adventure…..:D

I had a test ride on the Superduke GT. And gotta agree, it's the most fun I've had on a bike. I was laughing to myself all the way through it.

Fantastic :D:D 1st service completed now. Still modifying as I go, but to be honest out the box bike it’s pretty impressive package, Definitely needs some small suspension adjustments for my weight. But It handles like no other bike I’ve ridden. You almost have to recalibrate your brain on how quick it turns in and transitions, and it’s really planted. Almost laughable compared to anything else I’ve ridden, including the V4 Panigale. But it’s still slightly on the firm side, especially the front. I Will be diving into the sag settings soon. I’m sure backing off the spring preload will eliminate this. The Apex Pro suspension feels on another level even compared to the latest Ohlins kit. But also feels a different bike from the SD single R.

The engines is a peach! Power everywhere, like totally Bonkers when you want to get a lick on, then docile when you just want to poodle about. Ergonomics took a while to get bang on, with rolling the bars back a couple of degrees, and just getting levers and pegs in the perfect location. Footpegs could offer some more grip considering they are Gilles items. But overall I’m really enjoying my time riding now. It’s pretty well screwed together as well. Have just recently removed exhaust servo and associated cables and hardware. The rear tail section comes off completely in a around 10 mins. I did however spend some time rerouting and changing out more bolts for Titanium items. Akropovic Evolution system is here and ready to install once the weather turns for the worse.

The biggest thing is the Grin factor! Plus I’m not coming back from rides feeling washed out, for sure it still requires some effort if your on a spirited hoon. It’s really entertaining and engaging. Looks are still subjective, to me anyway! Definitely a grower:D…. So the honeymoon period is still in full swing:D….. I’m still using Fonda as my daily as I really don’t want the KTM having starship mileage on it. So evenings and w/ends blasts…..
