Have been using Insurance comparison web sites for a possible new bike purchase, and broker Wicked Quotes have been offering the most competitive quotes, I don't know the insurance companies they use, but anyone had experience of them?

Fraid not, Go Compare is normally my route, £155 for this coming years insurance. That's with Bennetts.

Have heard of them mate as pop up whenever I’ve done a comparison search, also one of the cheapest but like I found out with Bennett’s being the cheapest at the time, crap company to deal with when needed. Always paid a bit more since then

Just insured the S1000XR after much searching.
Last weeks price £224 with Bennetts.
    Went looking today as expires tomorrow and got the following quotes;
    MCN 255
    Confused 239
    Compare mkt 228
    Go compare 228
Go compare 1 week ago 224

So I opted for the saved email at £224, icked accept where it asked me to check the policy.

Surprised to see it'd deleted some details on having any membership with rider organisations and holding any riding qualifications.

Quick amendment brought it down to £207.

Worth rechecking details a second time before buying, bit naughty on the providers.

Normally if you dig around you can find out which company is the actual underwriters i.e. Axa. Don't think there are many actual bike underwriters out there, so normally the difference between brokers is made up of the amount of business a broker puts the underwriters way and the broker's fees and profit.

Yes I've clocked the underwriters are hidden within the providers policy.

But go straight to the underwriter makes no difference, bizarre really.

With having the XR I was thinking about going down the 'classic bike ' insurance route for the Repsol, it's 17 years old now and unlikely to be rode more than 1500 miles a year. Last quote was £155. I don't think it's old enough though.

As I've written on here before, the only real trouble I've had has been with the provider who apparently didn't pass things on to the underwriter, who was Axa. Wasn't till Axa got hands on did I get anywhere. Minefield whichever way you step.

I have used them since 2003 and made 2 claims during this time; been satisfied with them. They tend to use aviva which dealt with both my claims

Just renewed with BeMoto - didn't even bother looking round (which is most unlike me). The joint Titanium Policy for the Fireblade and Tiger only went up by £11 from last year. Good enough for me :).

Just renewed the 07 , fully comp for £73 with Devitt .
Also you get 10% off at sportsbikeshop.
    Happy with that :)

    That's a result that Mark!

I've just insured the R1 and its cost me just a few pounds over £500!!!! through Bennetts and was the cheapest quote with maximum no claims.

The Panigale was around £300 a year or so back. I think if you have a brand new bike and you tell them its value is sub 18k , you're getting your pants pulled down no matter what!!

This is the most I've ever paid for insurance in 25 years of riding. Luckily my car insurance is dirt cheap in comparison so balances itself out in my head!!

Don't know Ron , the last time I shoped for multi bike it was going to cost more than two separate policies o_O. Might try for classic on the old blade next time

Don’t know how you all get low prices,up here in the North East just had my renewal offer from BeMoto at an eye watering £2050 fully comp:eek:
That’s up from the what I thought was an extortionate £500 last year due to the wife having a claim against us on the car policy.
Looked around for a bit and managed to get fully comp and breakdown cover for £320 with Bikesure ,wouldn’t want to be the guy on the phone tomorrow at BeMoto when I ring to cancel the renewal.

Certainly think that BeMoto are cashing in on their success and in some cases not offering the best deals at renewal time, in my experience they didn't offer me a resolution of a lower premium so went elsewhere.

Forgot to mention i always use MCN Compare.

Brad, I just did a quick quote with Wicked just out of interest, came out at £1284.00 !!!! absolutely scandalous.

Based on the bikes value at £17995.

What bike are you potentially looking to buy??
