How about a gearbox selector off of a Ducati or Aprilia that comes back directly off the gearbox., depending if the spline is the same.
Wouldn’t you just turn the gearbox arm upside down.
Bearings aren’t expensive so if in doubt swap them out, peace of mind is worth a fortune.
