Yeah, I agree with you, but you could always leave it in lower gears & have fun that way. TBH, 95% of my road riding doesn't see past 8krpm But...

Think I used 6mm push pin. I just drilled one hole while holding the 2 pieces tightly together. No need to start small and enlarge. Hardly notice...
