Could try wet and drying it - probably best to do the whole piece - then spray 2 or 3 coats of clear coat lacquer.
Yeah I had heard they were a bit iffy in the wet! Might try next for the track though.
+1 for SBS road sinter pads. Have them on track bike and no fade. And yes, you can get fade on the road as well! Very well priced compared to OE...
