Absolutely agree with Dave d. I had the same problem three times, stator burns up. You need to check that you have the Honda OEM upgraded stator...

I agree, I had mine set up last September by JHS racing in Bath £34.99. Best mod to do to a bike, also recommended 36/36.
Wurth dry lube is the best I've used. Zero fling. A quick spray every 200miles or so and a clean and re-lube every 600miles ish.
You can pick up a brand new set of four with bulbs on eBay for about £20.00. Edit- just noticed you want smoked not clear.

Just posting on behalf of a friend with an 07RR with a standard system fitted. He's interested in this but wonders if this will definitely fit?...
Just change the oil and filter with a decent oil and I'm sure it'll be fine. I've never had to flush and engine.
Have you also replaced the stator flywheel? It's an uprated OEM part. If you haven't then your stator will burn up again in a few thousand miles.
