You won't regret it. Ventura is the best thing I ever did to help with touring on a sports bike.
Unlikely I think as some USA bikes have had engine rebuilds under warranty due to this very issue.
Here's mine with the brackets fitted. They only take 5 minutes to fit or take off on the 08-12 Blades.
