Looks like it's just clipped a small stone or something on the edge of the tread. Nothing worry about as said no where near the depth of the tread :)

On my r6 a small screw driver did the job, did you need to lock the cams or just remove the cct?

Might get away with it as they're slightly further out aswell,so might be able to fit still with the arms at a different angle.
I'd say they're around 5 maybe 7 cm tops lower, if someone who's not fitted yet could measure the gap from the original bolt hole to the new one...
