Usually just hit the starter,put helmet and gloves on then head off. 10 mins gentle riding then all systems go:)

SBS street excel seem to get the thumbs up,fraction of oem price. Just ordered front and rear for this year.
Have you tried using a slightly oversized torx bit yet? Hammer it in and you should have a good chance of removing bolt,very popular method here...
Fitted one to a 2012 with datatool alarm and no issues,it's wired in further up the loom and you'll only be disconnecting them at the very end.

That's what I thought and what I used on my 600RR,but everyone thats used the SBS pads on the blade have loved them,and at that price worth a try:)
