That noise is the dreaded crank issue for sure, will Honda fix it....oh that's a BIG question, they should, you'd have to talk to your dealer. :(

Crank will do it all the time, and normally get worse under load IMO.

If the plate was broken it's possible that the basket was damaged, maybe the basket is now off balance, when the bike is in N the basket and hub...
