Cosmetic changes between 06 to 07 . The later ones don't handle any better or go faster than the early ones.
Can be a bit fidley, it won't go straight on , you need to locate the shaft and then slide it back a few mm before locating on the down pins.
Ahh......had another read........08 , don't think the gear cluster will come out ,I think it,s a lump out jobbie
Could be a cracked/broken gear in the cluster , don't know what year yours is but early 04-5 had gears made of putty , the later 06-7 had better ....
