that's the difference mate, you hit it on the head, road tyres against slicks.. slicks stick to the dyno once warm and slow it down
I'd swap anyday, better to wake up to sunshine knowing it's going to be a scorcher than to wake up, still being dark at 8.30, bloody cold,...

why don't you just use a bottle at the front of your fairings like they do on race bikes? easier, more room and they make the bike go faster ;)
