Running in is all about getting the rings and bearings bedded in, You need to get the piston rings bedded in before the bores glaze, this is best...
Mine hasn't changed since the first mile though, the throttle response is instant exactly the same as the demo bike I tried.

I used the BSB Racetec control tyre on the track bike, they were a great track tyre, very sticky. Tried a set on the blade but they didn't last...
