He's talking about tthe exhaust flapper mod, and you're talking about the intake flapper mod.
IMHO, if you're going to do it, fit a proper QAT (eg, HRC) and don't bodge it with the R6 tube.

They used to melt the clocks in the sun, don't know if they've fixed that yet.
I had one on my stock RR6 for a while and it made a noticeable improvement using the map from DJ website. I also fitted the O2 sensor eliminator...

I've heard of that ABS issue before, on the internet and in a magazine. I don't have a solution, other than buy a bike without ABS ;)
