I'll be there on the eleventyfifth of Jalember. Make sure you're in.
Let us know then as I'm interested. Don't wanna spoil the bike by changing the settings too much and making it dangerous or handle like a shopping...
Just removed the Cream Carbon rear hugger and fitted the PB one I got from Martin. NICE. All my carbon now matches now it's all powerbronze. [IMG]
I would drop the front by 6mm but it's not slow turning in by any means.
Believe it or not I did dial in YOUR settings this morning and went out for about 35 miles, although I did leave my preload both set at 10.5 turns...
WELL hurry up then! :D
I think I may put all this back to standard and wait until I can afford to sort it properly!!
So if I get this right, if I drop the bike on the forks by 6mm then the geometry will be correct? What is the correct unladen height on the bike...
I give up! :D
Yeah. Backed right off then dialled in 9 turns and it was still too soft. It's now around 10 (more like 10.5 I think) turns and it's showing 35mm...
Well, had a further play with this today and got my BIL to help with the measurements. I dropped the rear preload to 6 following the advice here...
It's all about the getting the look right and having everything in proportion rather than having a feckin great airbrake on the back!
MHR sir.
Ah, ok. Looking at it again I assume this means the pivot is not adjustable which makes it a fixed ratio?
That's now illegal.
Didn't know I just got the 7x5 and TBH I don't think it looks that bad. Certainly not taking the piss. [IMG]
