Am I right in thinking that claims which total more than £5k (including the cost of the bike, car etc) are unaffected by this?
I had to change the plugs on my 2006 track Blade at 13k for a similar problem. It was misfiring from the mid revs all the way to the red line....
I do hope to use it as it's insured all year round, I just never renewed the tax while I was working away. Whether I'll actually manage to get out...

Mine's been sorn'd since September 1st, although the track bike could make an appearance any time ;)

Nope. You've got to keep removing the bike. Although you will get plenty of practice putting it back on ;)
