I had the switch open this afternoon but couldn't see and issues. I'll be checking the continuity down the wires tomorrow to try and narrow it down.

As said above, if your buying new and have the cash for a BMW or Aprilia then take them all for a test ride and work out if they are worth that...
It has been ridden in some dreadful weather recently so there is a fair chance or water getting in a switch or relay and fooking it up!
