If you mean the tank cover/shelter it should fit straight out of the box, if you mean the actual fuel tank 24L you might need to get a modified...

As all the above have said go titanium, however don't for get to put molybdenum disulphate grease on the nut

It's his rh side one that is knackered so not much use to me
I'd be inclined to spray over the black rather than strip it down unless you are getting it re - anodised then sprayed again
