It could just be the headlight protectors that are different then, as i seem to remember there being an 04-05 & 06-07 when i went shopping for mine.
Unfortunately not. Ive got rr6/7 headlight protectors on my rr5 and they're a different shape in the top outer corners.
TBH it wont fly off as long as the seat stays on. The straps are there really just to stop the bags from flapping about and rubbing your paint off :o
