Eazi-Grips Pro series applied tonight, really good quality, fitting not the easiest due to the many contours of the tank but I'm happy with them...
So got one side on, gonna do the other side tomorrow night when Mrs PauloHRC is at work and I can get the bike out from the wall and in the middle...

Already made a template to cover the middle section @nigelrb.......works perfectly when flipped over to do each side. I wasn't going to transfer...
I got them in Clear, plus some universal self cut sheets to fit to the area not catered for;) [ATTACH] [ATTACH]
So I've gone with these, as I said @Lozzy the Eazi-Grips cover different parts of the tank, like this. [ATTACH]
In answer to both your questions, these are for gripping with your knees but also act to protect the paintwork on the tank areas.;)
Clear one is the way to go......that way if you put it on skew whiff no one will notice :D[ATTACH]
