It's not damage that's the potential issue with suction mounts (unless it falls off and hits something on the way down). It's the likelihood of it...
+3 3M pads all the way for me. They feel safer and are easier to find places to mount as the foot print is more forgiving than a suction mount.
Not done on the Blade yet, but Datatag'd the family push bikes today and bought a UV torch to check progress as they're invisible under normal...
Yep, there's one on the right lever and one on a spring below the right foot peg. Try the rear one first as it may just need adjusting in a bit.

How about getting one of the larger ones lathed to fit, or a sleeve made up to go over one of the smaller ones?
Have you had the bike up in the air to narrow it down a bit. Should be easier to find with both wheels off the ground.

I'd still ebay off the parts though to help with the repair cost. You did pay for them after all.
Take it in the house where it's warm and show it some love & a charger, before taking it to a garage to get a meter on it to test it properly.
Can't help but think that's against the law. It's a civil matter to withhold your bike if you refuse to pay a bill you agreed to for them working...
