That's right, normally both sides are H7 headlamp units. HID's don't come in H4 AFAIK due to them being both high & main beam bulbs. Why are yours H4?
It does. The bulb connector on the loom is H4 and the holder then converts that to H7. You definately need a H7 HID kit as the H4 bulb is a twin...
If it's only a couple of years old then I'd check how long the warranty on it is. They can still die in that time though I goosed a brand new one...
