Got too up close and personal with a van mirror tonight.

    Came off second best.

    Result---Smashed mirror arm

So as above, right hand mirror unit please, if anyone has one laying around. My bike is a 2010.

Thanks Jimbo, but its only the stalk that has fractured at the base, the cover, lens cover etc is all good.

Just removed it and mega gaffered it, will see if it holds on the commute tomorrow, until a new one turns up somewhere

Any idea where the connector is to unplug the wiring? I did not want to keep tugging it out of the mounting hole in the fairing, or is that the way to do it?

    Ta

I think you have to tease it out the hole mate, it's in a rubber cover. Not sure you can get to it without removing part of the nose. The cable is quite long

Ditto, but pull the indicator wire gently as the connector may well come out without dropping the nose fairing. Some times does.

Just an update if it helps anyone, I could not pull the wiring with the 2 connectors ( blue and white) through the fairing hole where the base bolts to the fairing stay.

I ended up removing the 4 screen screws, and unbolting both mirrors, then removing the clock sun screen cover ( have the Honda Racing screen), then gently eased up the nose cone to expose the wiring behind fairing stay and under nose cone.
Then it was a simple job to unplug and replug wiring, relocate and refit everything.
20 mins max needed to complete job.
